
Hameed Khan is the Founder and CEO of Proximate Global Inc. (PGI). His core belief that technology is a powerful enabling tool which can make possible new behaviors led to the development of the product face2face. His interest in entrepreneurship and organization building led
to founding PGI.
As a Founder & CEO, he is focused towards driving the Company’s growth and mission to deliver next generation location aware solutions. Under his guidance PGI, with its product face2face, will bring about a paradigm shift to the loss of user privacy inherent in location sharing.
Hameed is focused on giving the next billion people a platform where they can connect with their world on their own terms –giving virtual relationships real time interaction value through face2face.
His responsibilities include strategic direction, platform planning, design, and business management for the Company. He spends his time equally between New York and Karachi.
Hameed graduated from Yale University in 2000 with a double major in Economics and History.

Amer is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of PGI. A native New Yorker, Amer was born and raised on the south shore of Long Island. He graduated from Yale University in 1998 with a B.A. in Economics and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, receiving honors in both majors. Post-Yale, he moved to Manhattan and spent six years in investment banking, starting as an analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston and rising through the ranks to become Vice President at Berenson & Company. Amer then spent three years as a Hedge Fund analyst at Vardon Capital, after which he moved to Pakistan to be Director of Research at Timescape Capital, a US-based hedge fund with Karachi-based research operations. In 2009, Amer moved back to the United States to help start PGI.
Amer is actively involved with various charities and most recently served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Human Development Foundation of North America. He is also an avid traveler and has traveled to six continents and more than 50 countries. A big fan of international cuisines, he has dined at over 300 restaurants in New York City in the last ten years. He also enjoys playing tennis, hiking, biking, reading, and spending time with friends. Referred to as ‘the connector’ by friends, he has the uncanny ability to know and remember everyone!

Shakir is a Director of PGI. Born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan, Shakir attended Whittier College in the United States. After graduating in 1998 with a degree in Political Science, he moved to the UAE where he spent two years in the private equity industry in Abu Dhabi, focused on raising MENA cash for North American and European technology companies. In 2000 he founded Creative Chaos, Pakistan’s largest bespoke platform agnostic software firm. Over the last decade Creative Chaos has served customers across major markets and has provided Fortune 500 companies with specialized technology solutions. Shakir co-founded the Princeton Review (NYSE:REVU) franchise in Pakistan in 2003, and also co-founded a distribution franchise for a major international telephone company reaching 1.3 million customers.
A man of diverse talents, Shakir has been contributing to Pakistan’s national press for the past decade. He currently writes a column for The News, Pakistan’s largest circulating English language newspaper. He is married with a son (and another on the way!) and has 3 dogs. While not spending time with his family, he enjoys theatre, swimming, reading, music, cooking, and spending as much time at the beach as humanly possible.
